Sabrina Carpenter returns to SNL’s “Domingo” skit, joining Pedro Pascal as Ronaldo, a new over-the-top character, adding more laughs to the fan-favorite sketch.

Ariana Grande guest-starred in the “Bridesmaid Speech” skit in October 2024, turning heads with this funny wedding parody. During this weekend’s 50 anniversary special, Carpenter popped in alongside Pascal and other exciting guests including, Bad Bunny.

In the original sketch, Grande portrayed a dramatic bridesmaid in this over-the-top parody. As the bride and groom celebrate their wedding, her character breaks into a hilarious reprise of “Espresso,” revealing the bride met another man during her bachelorette party.

The man in question? Domingo, the fan-favorite character who became viral after the skits debut depicted by Marcello Hernández.

This time, SNL upped the ante with Pedro Pascal as Ronaldo, a mysterious and overly passionate character who disrupted the chaos of the “Bridesmaid Speech” skit. Through song, Ronaldo is revealed as a close friend of the groom, Matt, whom he met during the bachelor trip—just like Domingo in the first installment. The twist? Ronaldo and Domingo are brothers, hilariously proving the couple has a type.

When paired with the “Bed Chem” singer, the actor’s onstage chemistry only amplifies the hilarity, creating a dynamic that leaves fans wanting more. The skit quickly gained traction online, with fans praising the duo’s comedic timing and commitment to the role. With both characters stealing the spotlight, SNL has again proven that surprises and laughter are never in short supply.

With the success of “Bridesmaid Speech,” fans wonder if the series will continue to revamp the sketch with more dramatic twists.

Tune into Saturday Night Live Saturdays, at 11:30 P.M. on NBC and Peacock.
