Madonna is once again diving into her rich musical history. Just days after announcing a follow-up to her 2005 dance classic Confessions on a Dance Floor, the iconic Queen revealed on Instagram that she is also preparing to rerelease her beloved 1994 album, Bedtime Stories.

Bedtime Stories Re-release and Vinyl coming soon,” was teased by Madonna in a post on February 17. Accompanying the announcement was a video of the star in a pink slip dress set to the dreamy sounds of the album’s third single, “Bedtime Story.”

Originally released in October of 1994, Bedtime Stories marked a shift in Madonna’s sound, blending R&B and pop influences. The album generated major hits, including “Secret” and “Take a Bow,” which peaked at number 3 and number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively. Other notable tracks include Bedtime Story, co-written by Björk, and “Human Nature,” a defiant anthem challenging media scrutiny.

This rerelease news follows the singer’s revelation that she is back in the studio with producer Stuart Price, working on Confessions Part 2, a sequel to her chart-topping 2005 album. The original Confessions on a Dance Floor produced several smash hits, including “Hung Up,” “Sorry,” “Get Together,” and “Jump.”

Madonna has been fueling excitement for new music over the past few months. In December, she shared a behind-the-scenes look at a studio session with Price, alongside her boyfriend Akeem Morris, longtime manager Guy Oseary, and twin daughters Stella and Estere. Reflecting on her creative process, she expressed her enthusiasm for songwriting: “These past few months have been medicine for my soul. Songwriting and making music are the areas where I don’t need to ask for anyone’s permission. I’m so excited to share it with you.”

The Bedtime Stories rerelease is further proof of Madonna’s enduring influence in the industry. The album originally peaked at number on the Billboard 200 and has since been certified triple platinum by the RIAA, selling over three million copies.

Madonna recently wrapped up her Celebration Tour, with 81 shows across Europe, North America, and South America. Now, with a nostalgic rerelease and fresh music on the way, fans have plenty to anticipate from the pop legend.
