XOXO: Leighton Meester and Kristen Bell Reunite for Gossip Girl Bit at This Year’s SAG Awards

Spotted at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, it looks like Blair Waldorf and on-again off-again nemesis Gossip Girl made amends at the SAG Awards.

During the night that celebrated actors’ journeys, host Kristen Bell and Leighton Meester teamed up for a bit, honoring the iconic 2000s series. Reprising her role as the legendary narrator and pot-stirrer on the Upper East Side, Bell read tips aloud, spotting different actors in the audience.

“Spotted at table eight, Jeff Goldblum has a wicked appetite, and a peek behind the curtain reveals he likes his green eggs with ham,” she started.

Then calling out the modern-day Lonely Boy, Timothée Chalamet, she read, “And look who it is, not so Lonely Boy Timothée Chalamet sitting next to a hot steak, medium rare, au poivre with a side of broccoli – wait?”

Quickly, Bell realizes just how cold the gossip is, so unlike the site in 2008. “Leighton, none of this is gossip. This is just about food,” she chirped.

Immediately, the camera pans to Meester panicking and tacking into a dinner roll a la Blair Waldorf and her croissants, “I’m sorry, I’m just really hungry,” she apologized.

The Veronica Mars star quipped the popes in Conclave have better gossip than the two had at the ceremony. She sighed, deciding it was time to pass the torch, to which Meester replied, “Amen.”

Fans immediately rushed to social media to share their excitement over this legendary reunion, penning a flow chart for all the nostalgic Y2K lore.

The lore only gets deeper from here as Bell costars alongside Adam Brody in Netflix’s Nobody Wants This.

Not to mention, the team behind Gossip Girl also created The O.C., which starred Brody, best known as Seth Cohen, tying multiple 2000s teen drama worlds together.

Meanwhile, Meester will join the NWT cast as Joanne’s (Bell) former rival-turned-mommy blogger, and Brody is set to appear in Meester’s new CW series, Good Cop, Bad Cop. At this point, the 2000s teen drama Venn diagram is practically a circle.
