Coco Jones Announces Tour for New Debut Album Why Not More?
The Grammy Award-winning singer and actress Coco Jones just announced her tour for her upcoming debut album, Why Not More?
After years of releasing EPs and winning her first Grammy last year for Best R&B Performance for her hit single “ICU,” Jones‘ debut album will be released this year.
She released her single “Taste,” sampling Britney Spears’s “Toxic,” earlier this month along with a music video wearing a glittery nude bodysuit, paying homage to the Princess of Pop’s iconic look.
The former Disney star shared on The Jennifer Hudson Show that she describes her new single as “…a blender; it’s all of the different things that I am, my voice, but also I love the pop world, and I want my music to be able to be everywhere.”
The singer also hinted at this blend for her album, mentioning sampling Luther Vandross’ classic “Never Too Much.”

After leaving Disney, she took a break from the spotlight to be a “regular” university student and got to know herself more.
She stated, “I got to live and be normal, and I love and cherish my normalcy so much…because I feel like it’s what keeps me grounded. The reason that I feel like I can be relatable is because I was just hanging out partying, like learning [about] myself, figuring out my life, …and then I got back in the spotlight. Those times where, you know, nobody was looking, that’s when I found myself, my true self.”
Returning to the spotlight more authentic than ever paid off, and now after winning her first Grammy, fans are beyond excited to finally listen to her long-awaited debut album Why Not More?
One longtime fan, referencing the singer’s early music career beginnings, commented, “I am sooooo beyond happy for you! It’s been a long road since the PC [W]indows CD now we finally hereee! Let’s go Coco!!!”
She announced her upcoming tour, kicking off May 6 in Philadelphia, with special guests Lady London and TA Thomas. Why Not More? drops on April 25, just weeks before the tour. Album and merch pre-orders are available now. Presale tickets go live Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time, with general sales starting Friday at the same time.
