With Amazon MGM recently gaining creative control of the iconic spy franchise, the performance felt like a passing of the torch celebrating Bond’s legacy while hinting at an exciting future.

Halle Berry, a James Bond franchise alumna who portrayed Giacinta “Jinx” Johnson in the 2002 film Die Another Day, introduced the tribute.

The performance opened with The Substance star Margaret Qualley dancing to the iconic James Bond theme in a bold, opulent red dress.

Lisa then made a dramatic entrance, descending from the ceiling in true secret agent fashion, wearing a dazzling black-and-red dress that embodied spy-chic glamour. She captivated the audience with a powerful performance of “Live and Let Die,” the title song from the 1973 film.

Originally written by Paul and Linda McCartney and performed by Paul McCartney and Wings, the song demands vocal versatility. Lisa delivered this with precision, shifting between soft, gentle phrasing and explosive power when singing the song’s dynamic title line, “Live and Let Die.”

Doja Cat followed with a mesmerizing performance of “Diamonds Are Forever,” the title song of the 1971 film.

Dressed in a stunning gown dripping in diamonds, she captured the essence of the song’s original performer, Shirley Bassey. Her vocals soared to extraordinary high notes while maintaining a deep, resonant quality in the lower register, bringing a bold and theatrical flair to the performance.

Raye then took the stage in a striking black and white dress to perform “Skyfall,” the title song from the 2012 film, originally sung by Adele.

Channeling Adele’s signature style, Raye delivered a powerful and deeply emotive performance. Her vocals seamlessly transitioned from smooth, powerful belting to delicate, breathy phrasing, adding a unique touch to the song.

The trio’s electrifying performances come just weeks after the release of “Born Again,” a single from Lisa’s debut solo album, Alter Ego. Together, their tribute not only celebrated the legacy of the James Bond franchise but also showcased the timeless appeal of its iconic theme songs.
