Michelle Trachtenberg’s New Screenplay Was in the Final Stages
Michelle Trachtenberg was in the final editing stages of her screenplay prior to her sudden passing.
Gossip Girl star Michelle Trachtenberg unexpectedly passed away last week. Director and producer Casey Tebo shared that he and Trachtenberg worked on the production of Toy Master, a film that exposed the world of Mattel and its practices.
Tebo mentioned that he plans to continue the making of the film to honor Trachtenberg because of how hard she worked. Meanwhile, it is unclear how she passed away. However, last Wednesday, her mother Lana Trachtenberg found her unconscious in her New York City apartment.
In 2000, Trachtenberg joined the cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, where she portrayed the role of Dawn Summers. One of her most iconic roles was Georgina Sparks, in the 2007 show Gossip Girl. Her role as Sparks is remembered as the humorous villain with an unpredictable mindset. She guest-starred on Gossip Girl from 2008 to 2012, and each of Georgina’s appearances were nothing short of memorable.
Additionally, Trachtenberg’s co-stars on Gossip Girl expressed their grief on social media following the star’s passing. Chace Crawford, who portrayed Nate Archibald, shared some words about his co-star. He posted a series of photos of the pair. He captioned the post, “Michelle was one of a kind. I remember her coming on set for the first time and just absolutely owning it. She was a force of nature and just so so unapologetically funny and magnetic.. remembering those years with a big smile. Just a terrible loss. Love you”
Blake Lively, who portrayed Manhattan’s “it” girl Serena van der Woodsen, shared a heartfelt message to her Instagram story. Lively shared, “She laughed the fullest at someone’s joke, she faced authority head-on when she felt something was wrong, she cared deeply about her work, she was proud to be a part of this community.”
Trachtenberg’s legacy will be remembered as the hardworking person she was.
