Beloved K-pop group The Boyz is making a highly anticipated comeback with their third studio album, Unexpected, which will be released on March 17.

This album marks the group’s first comeback under their new label, One Hundred. It signifies a fresh chapter for the group following their departure from IST Entertainment in late 2024.

With Unexpected, The Boyz are ready to offer fans a new perspective on youth that blends nostalgia with the maturity they’ve gained over the years.

The upcoming album was announced on the group’s official SNS accounts, exciting fans with a well-structured promotional schedule.

The rollout began on February 26 with the reveal of the tracklist, followed by a cinematic album trailer on February 28. Concept photos and visual films showcasing the themes of “Begin,” “Become,” and “Breakthrough” are being released in phases.

Additional teasers, including an album preview on March 10 and music video teasers on March 14 and 16, will lead to the long-awaited album release.

The album’s tracklist consists of nine songs:

  • “Feel the Bass”
  • “VVV”
  • “Starry Night”
  • “Ain’t Salty”
  • “Rose”
  • “Rock and Roll”
  • “Nothing”
  • “Miss Demeanor”
  • “Love (우린 이미 선을 넘었어)”

The CD edition of the album includes an extended version of “VVV,” offering fans an exclusive bonus track. The album will highlight their versatility, blending their signature sound with fresh musical elements.

The album trailer introduces Unexpected with a striking visual aesthetic. It features an opulent, dimly lit room contrasted with a raw, back-alley setting where the members stylishly destroy a car using a baseball bat and sledgehammer.

Their outfits reflect a refined yet edgy style, with neutral and dark tones dominating their wardrobe. The members are dressed in tailored dress shirts, turtlenecks, trench coats, leather jackets, and blazers, adding to the trailer’s sophisticated and rebellious image.

The visual film Begin contrasts sharply with the album trailer, presenting a nostalgic portrayal of school life.

The members, restless in class, come to life when the clock strikes 3, embracing the carefree spirit of youth through video games, riding bikes, dancing to music, and recording playful videos.

Their outfits encapsulate the classic schoolboy aesthetic, featuring white button-up shirts paired with ties, sweater vests, cardigans, and hoodies. Knee-high socks, loafers, and brogues tie the looks together.

This visual theme perfectly complements the album’s concept, blending youthful memories with a more mature outlook.

As the album’s release date approaches, fans eagerly await what could be one of The Boyz’s most defining comebacks yet.
