Rascal Flatts Announces New Album Featuring Star-Studded Collabs
Rascal Flatts announced their upcoming album, Life Is a Highway: Refueled Duets on March 6. Produced by Big Machine Records, the project is set for release on June 6.
It includes ten collaborations, with nine of them being recreations of the band’s most popular songs. The tenth track is a new collaboration with the Jonas Brothers, called “I Dare You.”
In addition to the Jonas Brothers, the album includes collaborations with Jason Aldean, Carly Pearce, Blake Shelton, Brandon Lake, Ashley Cooke, the Backstreet Boys, Jordan Davis, Lzzy Hale, and Kelly Clarkson.
“It was such an honor to create this project with such incredibly talented artists, it’s a pretty indescribable feeling having your colleagues and friends do your songs in such unique ways and knock your socks off with the results,” stated lead singer Gary LeVox. “This album is just another attempt to thank our fans for the blessings they’ve given us on this crazy journey the past 25 years, thanks for riding along with us!”
Clarkson has worked with the “My Wish” band in the past. They performed a duet of the band’s song, “What Hurts the Most,” at the 2006 Academy of Country Music Awards.
The band will celebrate the announcement of their new album with a special performance in their hometown: Columbus, Ohio. The show is part of their “Life Is a Highway Tour.” This is then followed by two more Ohio performances in Toledo and Youngstown. The tour, which began last month, will conclude on April 5 in Jacksonville, Florida.
