Alex Cooper Set to Host New Hulu Dating Series
Alex Cooper is set to host an unscripted dating series coming to Hulu.
Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper is joining the television world with an unscripted dating series, which will stream exclusively on Hulu. The working title is Overboard for Love.
The series puts a group of singles on a yacht to help them find love. However, their journey won’t be as easy as it seems.

“Gaining access to the yacht’s extravagant amenities won’t be so simple,” the logline states. “As the journey unfolds, romance ignites; alliances form; and hearts are shattered. In the end, only one couple will reign supreme. Who will rise to the top, and who will be left stranded?”
Cooper’s interest in the television industry isn’t new; she’s wanted to enter for a while. She launched a media company with her husband, Matt Kaplan, in 2023. The company, called Trending, hired Mina Lefevre as its chief content officer for television.
The Unwell founder executive produces the series through Unwell Productions with Jeff Jenkins Productions in partnership with 3BMG, and Walt Disney Television Alternative. Other executive producers include Kaplan, Lefevre, Jenkins, Russell Jay-Staglik, Ross Weintraub, Reinout Oerlemans, and Jason Ehrlich.
“I couldn’t be more excited that Unwell Productions’ first unscripted series, ‘Overboard for Love,’ is coming to life with our amazing partner, Hulu,” Cooper stated. “This project marks a major milestone for us, perfectly reflecting our vision of creating bold, unfiltered content that pushes boundaries. We’ve designed a truly unique dating show, and I can’t wait for viewers to see what Unwell is capable of.”
Kaplan has produced several movies and television series throughout his career, with his most famous being the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before films and XO, Kitty.
This new project is the second series for Jenkins with Hulu. His company produces The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which returns for season 2 on May 15. The series’ first episode became the most-watched unscripted season premiere on the platform.
Other unscripted series on Hulu include Vanderpump Villa and The Kardashians. A release date for Overboard for Love has not yet been announced.
