Candy Shop Announces New Digital Single ‘Tip Toe’
Rising K-pop girl group Candy Shop is gearing up for their upcoming single “TIP TOE,” slated for release on March 18.
Managed by Brave Entertainment, the group officially debuted on March 27, 2024, with their first EP, Hashtag#.
The EP featured four tracks, including the title track and lead single “Hashtag#” along with “Good Girl,” “No Fake,” and “Candy#.” This release introduced the group’s bright and confident sound, blending catchy melodies with dynamic choreography.
The group originally debuted with Soram (Leader and Main Vocalist), Sui (Main Rapper), Sarang (Sub-Vocalist), and Yuina (Main Dancer).
However, on May 9, 2024, Brave Entertainment announced that Yuina had “temporarily halted her activities with Candy Shop” due to health reasons.
To ensure the group could continue as a four-member act, the label revealed plans to recruit a new member.
Just days later, they confirmed that Julia would be joining the lineup as Yuina’s replacement.
Despite this lineup change, Candy Shop returned a month later with their second EP, Girls Don’t Cry, featuring four tracks: “Don’t Cry,” “Tumbler (Hot & Cold), “Welcome to My World,” and a remix of “Good Girl” from their debut EP.
With this comeback, the group explored more mature themes while maintaining their signature energy.
Now, Candy Shop is set to kick off 2025 with their first digital single “TIP TOE,” which has already generated buzz through teasers on Instagram and YouTube.
The teaser clip embraces a nostalgic schoolgirl aesthetic. The members pose outside a school building and in front of a chalkboard, dressed in classic pleated skirts, knee-high socks, stockings, white collared shirts, ties, and blazers.
The teaser introduces each member individually, reminiscent of character introductions from early 2000s teen series.
The backing track boasts an upbeat and dreamy sound, evoking nostalgia with its lighthearted yet energetic composition. The blend of playful melodies and airy vocals further emphasizes the group’s youthful concept, making it an exciting addition to their growing discography.
