Grammy-nominated singer Halsey recently teased a new song on their Instagram story.
The “Without Me” singer released her latest album, The Great Impersonator, last year on October 25 and has recently announced the “For My Last Trick” tour for it, kicking off in Concord, California, on May 10.
Halsey will perform alongside special guests Alvvays, flowerovlove, Alemeda, Evanescence, Hope Tala, Del Water Gap, Royel Otis, Magdalena Bay, Sir Chloe, and The Warning.
On their fifth studio album, they wrote, “I made this record in the space between life and death. And it feels like I’ve waited an eternity for you to have it.” She stated this referring to her recent life-altering changes, such as her diagnoses of lupus and T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder, since her previous album, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power.
Fortunately, they have shared that after taking some time off to recover, their conditions have become more manageable, and has been feeling better.
Last month, the alternative musician released her newest song and video for “Safeword.”
Now, Halsey has teased a new song on their Instagram story, posting a question mark next to the pause button of the preview. Halsey gave fans a taste with a snippet starting with the lyrics, “On the table by the side / I open it slowly / You do as you told me / And you cut like a knife.”

Fans are excited about new music, with one commenting, “halsey giving us an 18 track album, 5 bonus tracks, a new song two weeks ago, and now teasing another song. i know the studio hates to see her coming.”
Some fans have started to theorize, believing the new song may be part of a potential deluxe version of The Great Impersonator or a new album.
Although, when a fan asked if “Safeword” was part of a project, the singer replied, “Who knows! Nothing matters. I’m still here doing whatever it is I do until they stop me. (I’m having a manic episode) (just kidding).”
