After receiving rave reviews from hosting this year’s ceremony, comedian Nikki Glaser will return to host next year’s Golden Globes, which are set to take place in January 2026.

“Hosting the Golden Globes this year was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had in my career,” revealed Glaser in a statement. “I can’t wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team from The White Lotus, who will finally recognize my talent and cast me in Season Four as a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a shadowy past.”

Helen Hoehne, the Golden Globes president, added, “Nikki Glaser brought a refreshing spark and fearless wit to the Golden Globes stage this year. Her sharp humor, and bold presence set the tone for an unforgettable night, making the ceremony feel vibrant and most of all fun.”

This year Glaser became the first solo female host of a Globes telecast. She received a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which is the highest rating for a Golden Globes ceremony in over a decade. Especially after Jo Koy hosted in 2024, in which he made sexist jokes regarding the Barbie film in his opening monologue, Glaser’s performance was well received, to say the least.

The stand-up comedian launched her career in 2011 with her podcast You Had To Be There with Sara Schaefer. However, what catapulted her into the comedy realm was her television series Not Safe with Nikki Glaser, which she started in 2016, followed by her morning radio spot You Up? with Nikki Glaser, which she started in 2018.

What really put her on the map, however, was her roast of Tom Brady in May 2024. Netflix’s The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady received outstanding reviews and was nominated for an Emmy in the live variety show category.

Days later, Glaser’s Max comedy special Someday You’ll Die premiered and she continued to break records. The special set the record for both the best premiere night for a Max comedy special in more than two years and the number one largest streaming audience for a comedy special in Max history.

Someday You’ll Die was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded), a Grammy for Best Comedy Album, a Golden Globe for Best Performance in a Stand-Up Comedy on Television, and a Critics Choice Award for Best Comedy Special.

Glaser has continued to pave the way for female comedians and now she is ready to host the Golden Globes for the second time. Given that we have to wait almost a year for one of the biggest events in Hollywood, it is hard to predict what the night holds. While we do not know who will be nominated for awards, or who will win, we definitely know that we will laugh.
