Ted Lasso Scores Big with Apple TV+ New Season
After the 2023 season finale of Emmy-Award-winning Apple TV+ series, Ted Lasso, the comedy had an uncertain future. However, there’s good news for its dedicated fan base: Apple has announced its decision to renew the series for a fourth season.
Apple TV+ head of programming, Matt Cherniss confirmed the news with a statement, acknowledging the massive fan base. “Ted Lasso has been nothing short of a juggernaut, inspiring a passionate fanbase all over the world, and delivering endless joy and laughter, all while spreading kindness, compassion and unwavering belief.”
Jason Sudeikis serves as a producer and stars as American football coach Ted Lasso, managing a British soccer team. As of now, Sudeikis is the only cast member confirmed to reprise his role. In addition to the leading man himself, Brendan Hunt and Brett Goldstein will return as writers for the series, but it’s unknown whether they will reprise their roles as Beard and Roy Kent.

The official X account for Ted Lasso also posted after four years, to many fans’ delight. One commented, “To this day I’ve refused to watch the last episode of Ted Lasso— just wasn’t ready to accept it was over. Can’t wait for season 4!” Another wrote, “You left your cosmically connected soulmate crying in an airport, hope this helps!!!” in reference to Waddingham’s character at the end of season three.
