Jason Sudeikis serves as a producer and stars as American football coach Ted Lasso, managing a British soccer team. As of now, Sudeikis is the only cast member confirmed to reprise his role. In addition to the leading man himself, Brendan Hunt and Brett Goldstein will return as writers for the series, but it’s unknown whether they will reprise their roles as Beard and Roy Kent.

In a press release, Sudeikis wrote, “We all continue to live in a world where so many factors have conditioned us to ‘look before we leap.” On the New Heights podcast hosted by Jason and Travis Kelce, Sudeikis also confirmed that this season would follow a women’s football team which is currently in the writing stage.

He continued, “In Season 4, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to leap before they look, discovering that wherever they land, it’s exactly where they’re meant to be.”

Season three ended on what fans presumed was its final act, in which Ted Lasso made the fateful decision to move back to the United States for the sake of being with his son.

The official X account for Ted Lasso also posted after four years, to many fans’ delight. One commented, “To this day I’ve refused to watch the last episode of Ted Lasso— just wasn’t ready to accept it was over. Can’t wait for season 4!” Another wrote, “You left your cosmically connected soulmate crying in an airport, hope this helps!!!” in reference to Waddingham’s character at the end of season three.

While a premiere date for season four is not confirmed, you can catch up on all three seasons on Apple TV+.
