Morgan Wallen shared last week that the album, I’m The Problem, was finished and more information would come at a later date.

Morgan Wallen officially set a release date for his upcoming album, I’m The Problem: May 16.

The announcement was posted on Instagram with a video displaying Wallen in the studio working on the album, as well as a hand-sketched portrait of himself being created for the album’s cover with the playing of the title track.

The album’s release date accompanies the “7 Summers” singer’s Sand in My Boots Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The festival takes place on May 16 through May 18.

To celebrate the release date announcement, Wallen is dropping two singles off the project, “Just in Case” and “I’m a Little Crazy,” tonight at midnight ET. Both songs were previously teased on his social media accounts.

Wallen has released several songs off the album already, including the title track, “Lies Lies Lies,” “Smile,” and “Love Somebody.” In addition to the other teased songs, the country star posted a snippet of a song he wrote for his son, Indigo, titled, “Superman.” An official tracklist has not yet been released.

This album drops ahead of Wallen’s “I’m The Problem Tour,” which kicks off this June in Houston, Texas. The 20-show tour starts in Texas, followed by Wisconsin, Florida, Arizona, Washington, California, Ohio, and Massachusetts, before wrapping up in Canada on September 13.

His last album, One Thing at a Time, was released in 2023, reaching number one on the Billboard 200 chart and holding the spot for 19 weeks. Before that, he dropped Dangerous: The Double Album in 2021.

In the meantime, the “Dangerous” singer is set to be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on March 29, featuring alongside celebrity host Mikey Madison.
