Rising star RaiNao recently released her new single and music video, “sí pero no” alongside classic reggaeton artist Randy.

RaiNao’s music career has been steadily rising, with her versatile musical style catching the attention of global phenomenon Bad Bunny. She opened up for his Un Verano Sin Ti tour before later being featured in Bad Bunny’s now-iconic album, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, on the hit song “PERFuMITO NUEVO.”

RaiNao released her most recent album, CAPICÚ, last year and has since released an anniversary album including three new remixes: “logout de riíto con la gata,” readysita pal party en casa,” and “Gualero de jangueo en El Gandúl.”

She collaborated with Randy, of the iconic reggaeton duo Jowell & Randy in her new song, “sí pero no.” The single and music video portray the heartbreak and longing that come with past relationships, with couples embracing in bed on a stage before RaiNao finds herself waking up with no one beside her.

She sings, “Si te dicen que estoy bien, no es como lo percibes / Sin ti los feelings no quieren prender.” (“If they tell you I’m doing well, it’s not how it seems / Without you, the feelings won’t start.”)

“sí pero no” visually and musically balances sensuality and sadness through RaiNao’s signature alt-perrero.

RaiNao shared her thoughts on her sexuality in music with Remezcla, “To be a woman is to change the world and to challenge machismo. Women in reggaeton are not validated the same way as men are. It is easier for men to talk about pleasure and sex, and no one bats an eye. But when I do it or another woman does it, we are viewed differently.”
