Just two days before the release of her new album I Said I Love You First, Selena Gomez crashed a screening of her 2012 film Spring Breakers and debuted an unreleased track called “Bluest Flame.”

Accompanied by her fiancé and partner on the album, Benny Blanco, the singer/actress surprised attendees at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York. After the screening ended, she asked the crowd, “Did you guys enjoy one of my favorite movies ever?”

After a loud round of applause, Blanco added, “We wanted to do something special for you guys, so we’re gonna play a song that hasn’t been heard yet, and then we’re actually going to give it to you a day early on a USB when you leave, and our label is probably going to shoot us, but thanks guys.”

The couple proceeded to play their unleashed track “Bluest Flame.” “Bluest Flame” is more of a high-energy, hyperpop mix compared to their recent releases, “Call Me When You Break Up (with Gracie Abrams)” and “Sunset Blvd.”

Then, the pop star pulled out her phone to take a selfie with the audience, promising to send it to the film’s director “Harmony [Korine] and the girls,” referring to her iconic co-stars Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine.

Gomez showed gratitude for her fans at the event expressing, “Thank you so much, this movie means the world to me. And just that you guys are here, it’s so special. I’m so grateful for you guys, and I hope you enjoy everything we put together.”

With the album nearing its release date, Gomez and Blanco have definitely given fans a thorough preview of their long-awaited project.
