Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert New Divorce Battle Spreads Online

Teyana Taylor has accused her ex-husband, Iman Shumpert, of leaking details about their divorce and has also refuted rumors regarding a reported settlement in a recent legal filing.

Taylor and her legal team accused Shumpert of disclosing sealed documents about their divorce and demanding his imprisonment for contempt.

The drama began on the night of the this year’s Oscars when Teyana Taylor posted black-and-white photos of herself with actor Aaron Pierre, known for his role as Mufasa in The Lion King, at the Vanity Fair after-party.

Within days, a false story about a “divorce settlement” between the former couple surfaced, leading many to question the details of their split. According to E! News, this story came on the heels of Shumpert’s release of a new rap song, leading Taylor to accuse him of using the controversy to boost his career.

She also used her filing to debunk several rumors regarding the division of assets in their divorce. According to Taylor, the court awarded her four out of the seven properties they owned together, including two that were exclusively purchased by her. She also alleged that Shumpert kept a Miami condo that he had originally gifted to her.

In her filing, she demanded the maximum fine of $1,000 and 20 days in jail for Shumpert.

Court documents obtained by TMZ reveal that Taylor has stated she has faced online backlash and hate speech due to false reports about the assets she received in her divorce.

She alleges he leaked inaccurate information, including claims that she was granted multiple properties, vehicles, a tour bus, and more.

The NBA player is telling the judge overseeing their divorce that Taylor earns nearly twice as much as he does each month.

Shumpert’s accounting shows Taylor’s gross monthly income before taxes is $93,885, nearly double the $47,981 he reports earning each month.

Taylor went on Instagram Live to further discuss the situation.

“And the crazy part about it is I said nothing. When he and his lawyer told the internet that Teyana is making more money,” she states. “Teyana is bringing more money a month in than Iman is.”

The singer also suggested that the story was published around the time Shumpert released a new song, implying that her ex was using their divorce for promotional purposes.
