Gwyneth Paltrow Shares New Details on ’90s Romance with Brad Pitt You Simply Must See

Gwyneth Paltrow reminisces over her ’90s relationship with her ex-boyfriend Brad Pitt. Now, nearly three decades later, Paltrow looks back on their time together with fondness and insight.

In a Variety feature released on Tuesday, March 18, the Goop founder revealed that she and the actor have maintained a cordial relationship almost thirty years after ending their engagement.

“He’s a very intriguing character,” Paltrow, 52, stated, with the article noting that she appeared “unbothered” by her connection to Pitt, 61.

She acknowledged, “It’s like having dated, I don’t know, Prince William or something. That’s always going to come up,” emphasizing that her remarks are not driven by any “what if” sentiments.

The Oscar-winning pair gained attention for their relationship, which began after they met during script readings for the 1994 film Legends of the Fall. They later starred together in the 1995 thriller Se7en.

They dated during that period, became engaged in December 1996, but ended their relationship six months later.

Dating Pitt early in her career taught her the importance of prioritizing her love life over her work life. It’s a lesson she has no regrets about, even after being reprimanded by a superior for asking for time off from a film to be with Pitt.

In the interview, Paltrow also remembered Pitt visiting her “for my birthday” while she was shooting a film in the English countryside, where she was working up to 20 hours a day, six days a week.

After being given 12 hours off, she told Vanity Fair that a producer “made me feel like I was the most entitled … ” adding, “It was such a horrible feeling.”

Despite her widely covered relationships, including her 2014 conscious uncoupling with Chris Martin and eventual marriage to American Horror Story producer Brad Falchuk, the Marvel star has no regrets when it comes to love.
