Gwyneth Paltrow and Meghan Markle Show Love on Instagram
Gwyneth Paltrow wants online bullies to know that she’s not for negative energy directed at the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle (now Meghan Sussex). After feud rumors swirled during the launch of Markle’s cooking series, With Love, Meghan, and her lifestyle brand, As Ever, the duo took to social media to set the record straight.
The Goop founder took to Instagram on Tuesday to address the online rumors. When a fan asked if the two were on good terms, Paltrow responded, “I genuinely do not understand this at all, whatsoever.”
Then, she asked off-screen, “Do you understand this?” before flipping the camera toward Markle, shrugging while eating a slice of pie.
The rumors first circulated after Vanity Fair published an article featuring Paltrow earlier this month. When asked about her feelings on the Suits alumni, she commented, “I don’t know Meghan and Harry. I mean, I’ve met Meghan, who seems really lovely, but I don’t know her at all.” At the time, the actress also hadn’t seen the trailer for With Love, Meghan, which has since been a target of online bullies and critics.
However, The Avengers actress further stresses the importance of supporting fellow women in similar fields. In the same interview, Paltrow continued, “I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes.”
She stressed, “I think there’s always more than enough to go around. Everybody deserves an attempt at everything that they want to try.”
Despite this, social media erupted at the possibility that the two were feuding. One user commented on X, “The comments under Gwyneth Paltrow’s latest instagram post are brutal. Why would she put herself in this position for Meghan Markle?” Following it with several screenshots of fans who threatened to unfollow Paltrow after the video was posted.
A fan of the Duchess commented, “Well played Gwyneth Paltrow & Meghan Markle. We love to see the lies of the British Media shut down.”
We are living in an era of excessive hatred being directed at many high profile women for no other reason than the haters have nothing good to focus on in their own pathetic lives.

The online criticism of the Duchess of Sussex has increased since the release of her Netflix cooking special, With Love, Meghan. The series received negative reviews from critics. However, her fans and other outlets defended the star’s jump into lifestyle and cooking. Netflix has renewed the series for a second season. Columnist for The Baltimore Banner Leslie Gray Streeter hit back at the hate, commenting, “The real reason is I’m going to say racism and jealousy that is couched in racism and a little classism and just, you know, basically being mad that people have things that we might want that we don’t have.”
While married to Prince Harry, the former actress became a mother to two children. The pair stepped back from the royal spotlight and moved to California, where they have since launched Archewell Inc., a mix of for-profit and non-profit charitable businesses. Her latest endeavor, As Ever, curates edible products such as tea, jams and spreads, and cookies.
The website is available to view, but will officially launch this Spring. According to her, the brand “means as it’s always been, and if you’ve followed me since 2014 with The Tig, you know I’ve always loved cooking and crafting and gardening—this is what I do.”
