Nominations for the ACM Awards come a few days after the first round of performers was revealed.

Nominations for the Academy of Country Music Awards were announced on Thursday as Ella Langley leads with eight nominations.

Following her, Cody Johnson, Morgan Wallen, and Lainey Wilson have seven, Chris Stapleton received six, Post Malone and Riley Green have five, and Kelsea Ballerini has four.

In addition to being nominated for Female Artist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year, Langley received six nominations for her song, “you look like you love me,” featuring Green, including Single of the Year, Music Event of the Year, Song of the Year as an artist and songwriter, and Visual Media of the Year as an artist and producer.

Many defending champions were renominated for their respective categories: Wilson for Female Artist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year, Stapleton for Male Artist of the Year, Old Dominion for Group of the Year, Dan + Shay for Duo of the Year, and Jessie Jo Dillon for Songwriter of the Year.

For the second time in three years, two collaborations are nominated for Single of the Year. Post Malone’s and Wallen’s “I Had Some Help” is nominated for the honor alongside Langley and Green.

Cold Beer & Country Music, the debut album from Zach Top, is nominated for Album of the Year. This is the first time since 2016 that a debut album has received the nomination. Sam Hunt’s Montevallo and Stapleton’s Traveller were nominated then, with Stapleton being the winner.

Old Dominion is nominated for Group of the Year for the tenth straight year, and won the award for the last seven consecutive years. If they win, they’ll overtake Rascal Flatts as the category’s highest number of wins. However, the “Life is a Highway” band is also nominated this year for the thirteenth time.

Little Big Town is also nominated for Group of the Year, making this their nineteenth time. They’re just one nomination shy of tying the category’s record for most nominations, which is held by Alabama.

Stapleton is once again nominated for Male Artist of the Year for the tenth time in a row, four of which he’s won, and Entertainer of the Year for the seventh time.

Luke Combs is nominated for both Male Artist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year for the sixth consecutive year. If he wins Entertainer of the Year, he’ll also receive the ACM Triple Crown Award, which is given to artists who have won their respective new artist and artist awards, as well as entertainer.

Alysa Vanderheym is making history at this year’s ceremony as the first woman to be nominated for Producer of the Year at the ACM Awards.

Earlier this week, the Academy of Country Music announced their first round of performers for this year’s ceremony. Wilson, Blake Shelton, and Eric Church are set to take the stage at the Ford Center at the Star in Frisco, Texas.

Hosted by Reba McEntire, the ceremony is scheduled for May 8, streaming exclusively on Prime Video and Twitch’s Amazon Music channel.
