After almost being canceled due to stormy weather, the Ultra Music Festival in Miami did not let rain interrupt outstanding sets. Held at Bayfront Park over three days, the annual electronic music event housed energetic and historic performances from some of our favorite EDM artists.

On the first night of the festival, March 28, Dutch DJ Afrojack brought out fellow DJ David Guetta and singer-songwriter Sia to perform their classic song “Titanic” for the first time ever. As Guetta walked on stage, Afrojack expressed, “I f—ing love you brother, thanks so much for everything.”

As Sia walked on stage in her signature black and blonde wig, Afrojack added, “And of course, ladies and gentlemen, she’s here for the first time in Ultra history.”

While the song was released in 2011, the trio never performed it live together. Almost 15 years later, they finally gathered at one of the biggest electronic music stages in the world to deliver their iconic track.

While Afrojack set the bar high on Friday night, Skrillex did not disappoint audiences the following day. Headliner for Day 2, the American DJ returned to the Ultra Main Stage for the first time in ten years.

He honored late Swedish DJ Avicii by playing a rendition of “Levels,” putting a bass-heavy spin on the song. He invited several guests, including ISOxo, Flowdan, Damian Marley, and Young Miko, to join him onstage.

Skrillex closed with a mashup of “We Are Your Friends” and “Turn Off the Lights” to end his breathtaking set. He announced on Instagram that his new album will be out on April 1 and will include some of the teasers from Saturday night.

To close out the festival, Zedd and Martin Garrix each gave an electrifying set. Zedd performed classic anthems “Clarity,” “Stay the Night,” and “Beautiful Now,” which kept crowds dancing the entire time. He remixed “One More Time” while a laser show projected from the stage, invoking energy and nostalgia at the same time.

Garrix brought out several guests, including Lauv, who joined him to perform their collaboration, “Mad.” Zedd, Afrojack, and Armin van Buuren also made guest appearances to play tracks, each getting a loud crowd reaction.
