Finn Wolfhard Teases Stranger Things Character’s Fate in New Interview
Finn Wolfhard shared mixed feelings about his Stranger Things character’s fate during an interview with People on April 12.
Ahead of the hit Netflix series’ fifth and final season, Wolfhard, who portrays Mike Wheeler, claims he is content, yet a bit muddled about it.
“I was happy with his ending, and I don’t know, I was satisfied, but I was also very confused and sad, but also very happy,” he added.

The Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire actor explained that emotionally wrapping up the beloved series was a lot for him to handle. “I felt like I was in a dream or something,” he continued. “None of it felt real. I don’t know, it felt perfect.”
Stranger Things, which premiered in 2016, follows a group of friends in 1980s Hawkins, Indiana, who uncover a mystery involving secret experiments, terrifying supernatural forces, and one strange little girl. The series also stars Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, and Joe Kerry.
In January, creators Matt Duffer and Russ Duffer teased what is to come during the final season. “We spent a full year filming this season,” Ross Duffer stated during a Netflix press event. “By the end, we’d captured over 650 hours of footage. So, needless to say, this is our biggest and most ambitious season yet.”
“It’s like eight blockbuster movies,” he added. “It’s pretty insane.” While Matt Duffer proclaimed, “At the same time, we think it’s our most personal story. It was super intense and emotional to film for us and our actors.”
“We’ve been making this series together for almost 10 years. There was a lot of crying. The show means so much to all of us, and everyone puts their hearts and souls into it,” he continued. “We hope and believe that passion will translate to the screen.”
