Marina Announces New Album Princess of Power
Marina officially announced her upcoming album, Princess of Power, on social media.
Four years after her last album, Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land, Marina has now entered a new era.
On Thursday, she posted the album cover art and the news that her sixth studio album, Princess of Power, will be released on June 6, just in time for the summer.
The “Oh No!” singer began to release the first singles off the album earlier this year, starting with “Butterfly” in February. Marina later released “Cupid’s Girl” and “C**tissimo” were released on the same day as her album announcement. She has also released official music videos and a visualizer alongside each of the singles from Princess of Power so far.
Since her 2021 album Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land, Marina has dived deeper into creative freedom, publishing her debut poetry collection last year, Eat the World. Princess of Power will also be her first independent album since age 22, after ending her contract with Atlantic Records.
Marina’s new singles embrace her new direction while not severing her roots, as heard through the traces of Electra Heart on her latest release, “C**tissimo.”
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Marina shared, “I think that’s why the energy of this record feels different: It’s part of my evolution as a human being. It’s a really fun record. It has a lot of energy.”
Her fans have evolved with her, with some fans posting about their excitement and nostalgia at the news of the Princess of Power album.

Marina will fully embrace her nostalgic fan favorites and her new era at Coachella this Friday night, performing songs like “Are You Satisfied?” to her three latest releases.
One fan wrote, “I just realized that this year, MARINA will give us Froot (10 Year Anniversary Edition), SIXTH STUDIO ALBUM and a performance at Coachella. This really is gonna be her year.”
