Another Simple Favor with Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick
Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick are back with more mystery, fashion, and fierce frenemies drama in the official trailer for Another Simple Favor, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 dark comedy.
Directed once again by Paul Feig, the film follows the return of the suspicious Stephanie Smothers, embodied by Kendrick, and the puzzling Emily Nelson, pprtrayed by Lively. They reunite in Italy for Emily’s extravagant wedding.
Wedding Invite or Warning?
Set in the beautiful backdrop of Capri, the sequel starts with Emily fresh out of prison and preparing to marry a wealthy Italian businessman (Michele Morrone). Despite their rocky past, Emily surprisingly invites Stephanie to be her maid of honor. Naturally, this raises alarms. “You think I want to make you pay for stealing my life,” Emily stated to Stephanie, restarting the tension that made their first outing so dramatic.
“I got to figure out what she’s up to,” stated Stephanie in the trailer, suggesting her detective instincts haven’t dulled since she helped put Emily behind bars. The plot thickens as wedding guests and suspicious characters add to the mystery, promising many more scenes of twists, betrayal, and humor.
Serving Looks
Lively and Kendrick also reunited for the film’s London photoshoot in front of the iconic London Eye. Both actresses served major fashion moments. Lively channeled ’60s glam in a Chanel outfit. It features a black and butter-yellow cardigan, black mini skirt, sheer tights, and thigh-high boots. Her fancy half-up hairdo, gold accessories, and Chanel mini bag completed the retro vibe.
Kendrick went for a bold red skirt suit. Paired with gold-button details and Christian Louboutin pumps. Her sleek waves and minimalist accessories complemented her classic look.

Another Simple Favor is promising another high-stake drama with a glamorous European setting and the same sharp chemistry and mystery that made the original a fan favorite. The film hits theaters on May 1.
