Tate McRae teased a potential collaboration with Morgan Wallen on her Instagram story, making her the first female artist to collaborate with the country singer.

The pop star posted a photo of an orange jersey, reminiscent of a Tennessee Volunteers jersey, bearing the phrase “T8” on the front. Fans also noticed a small patch on the jersey collar with the initials “MW,” seemingly hinting at a project with Wallen.

Wallen’s upcoming album, I’m the Problem, will be released on May 16. The 37-song project includes previously dropped tracks, including “Smile,” “Lies Lies Lies,” “Love Somebody,” “I’m the Problem,” “Just in Case,” and “I’m a Little Crazy.” He’s been teasing other possible songs on social media.

The country singer recently took to X to confirm that his new album will feature his first duet with a female artist. Fans have guessed major country stars such as Megan Moroney, Miranda Lambert, and Lainey Wilson.

However, the “One Thing at a Time” artist posted on his Instagram story last week, writing, “I haven’t seen one person guess the female collab on this album correctly yet.” Last year, Wallen showed support for McRae after he reposted her cover of “I Had Some Help” on TikTok.

Wallen also announced earlier this week that his newest track with Post Malone, “I Ain’t Coming Back,” will drop this Friday. The duo previously released their first collaboration, “I Had Some Help,” in 2024, which appeared on Malone’s country album, F-1 Trillion.

McRae has had a busy start to the year as she released her third studio album, So Close to What, in February. The “exes” singer is embarking on her latest tour, “Miss Possessive World Tour,” which began on March 18 in Mexico City. The tour concludes in California in November with a show in Inglewood.
