The New Marvel Fantastic Four: First Steps Trailer Brings Excitement to The Superhero Fandom
On April 17, Marvel gave fans a glimpse of what will transpire in their highly anticipated Fantastic Four: First Steps.

The new trailer fully incorporates each member of the beloved superhero team as they look to debut in the already-packed Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) on July 25. The trailer opens with a talk show host introducing the squad’s four members: Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby), Human Torch (Joseph Quinn), and the Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach).
This would lead to Sue Strom revealing she’s pregnant in front of the family as her and Reed Richards embrace upon learning about the news, but this is halted when a mysterious woman arrives on earth to brief them on some news of her own. The character would be revealed as the Silver Surfer, portrayed by Julia Garner, who warns the group about an incoming threat.
That threat is known as the god Galactus, whose legs are briefly shown moving through his giant shadow over the streets of New York City. According to the official synopsis, the film brings the superheroes together “as they face their most daunting challenge yet. ”
“Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their families’ bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactic and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer,” the synopsis continued. “If Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.”
Ralph Ineson will voice the monstrous antagonist, while Paul Walter Houser, Natasha Lynne, and Sarah Niles will also co-star. The film is directed by Matt Shakmam, who previously produced and directed episodes of the WandaVision series.
The latest trailer is Marvel’s first release since they confirmed the Fantastic Four will be a part of the Avengers: Doomsday cast earlier this month. The blockbuster film is set to hit theaters in May 2026, and Robert Downey Jr. and members of the original X-Men franchise will star in it. The same characters are also expected to play a role in Avengers: Secret Wars, which is targeted to be released in May 2027.
