P1Harmony will return with their highly anticipated eighth EP, DUH!, dropping digitally on May 8, with the physical album arriving in the U.S. on May 9.

The group started the comeback campaign with a teaser film titled “A Hero Should Be Heroic,” which offers a creative and emotionally complex take on the group’s evolving superhero concept.

A Teaser With a Twist

“A Hero Should Be Heroic” takes place in “Hero Society,” a stylized world where the boys portray nonchalant, fashion-forward heroes waiting, somewhat aimlessly, for a call to action. But unlike typical superhero stories, this one flips the script as it highlights the emotional toll and vulnerability that can come with being a hero.

As the video progresses, they receive a long-awaited notification from the “Hero Alert System,” only to cheekily go on “Hero Strike” instead—raising a picket sign that reads, “No work, all play, it’s strike day!”

This defiant twist turns the boys into anti-heroes, prioritizing self-expression over responsibility. They erupt into chaos—yelling, throwing things, jumping around—as if releasing the pressure built up through their previous narratives.

The soundscape mirrors this energy, it starts disorderly and brooding, then intensifies into a frenzied, hard-hitting fusion of hip-hop, trap, and electronic music, true to P1Harmony’s signature sound.

The teaser also cleverly references past album and single releases, adding layers of self-awareness and continuity for longtime fans.

The video ends with a look at the EP’s promotional schedule, teasing concept photos, posters, music video teasers, and album samplers leading up to the full release.

A Superhero Saga

The superhero theme isn’t new for the group. It began with their debut EP, DISHARMONY: STAND OUT, where the members were introduced as boys from different dimensions, uniting to save the world from a virus spread through lies and violence.

This storyline continued throughout the DISHARMONY series, where they took on the roles of rebellious figures fighting against societal injustices. In HARMONY: ZERO IN, the narrative evolved, shifting from rebels to rebuilders of a better world.

Most recently, their first full-length album, Killin’ It, leaned fully into comic-book aesthetics, complete with secret identities and bold, dual personas before revealing themselves as the world’s “hidden heroes.”

When Heroes Choose Themselves

P1Harmony continues redefining what it means to be heroic in the world of K-pop, not just through storytelling and visuals but through a sound and identity that embraces strength and vulnerability.

With DUH!, the group seems ready to break the mold again—this time, on their own chaotic, unapologetic terms.
