Meanwhile, Lovato emphasised how LGBTQ+ spaces like this one “feel essential right now.” “Knowing that there’s a space where you’re not only safe but celebrated means everything,” the 32-year-old stated.
The artist continued, “When we travel, we want to feel we belong. Not just that we are tolerated but that we are genuinely welcomed. These places remind us that joy, community, and chosen family are powerful.”
Coolidge shared on the red carpet that she thinks the LGBTQ+ community knows how to have a good time as she made some new friends during the opening bash. “I think gay men and women just let loose and have a blast. They know how to have a fun time,” the 63-year-old actress told People. “They’re original. I don’t know; it’s just a superior group of people. I can’t get enough of this, frankly.”
The weekend-long festivities included performances by Vincint and Drag Race Mexico host Taiga Brava and a DJ set by RuPaul’s Drag Race participants Gottmik and Violet Chachki.
Later, Lovato concluded in her message to the LGBTQ+ community, “Please know you are so deeply loved, seen and celebrated. Pride is about winning, owning your truth, and letting that truth shine unapologetically. You are worthy of joy, safety, and love.”
