Coco Jones Releases New Extended Version of Why Not More?
Grammy Award-winning singer and actress Coco Jones released her new extended version of her debut album, Why Not More?
After years in the music industry, Coco Jones released her first album, Why Not More?, this Friday. The debut album is her first music project to be released since her hit single “ICU” earned her first Grammy win in the Best R&B Performance category.
Why Not More? features a mature Jones exploring womanhood through vulnerability about the ups and downs of her relationships. The Bel-Air actress captivates with smooth R&B to Caribbean beats. The album also features Future, YG Marley, and London on Da Track, complementing the artists’ stunning vocals.
Her maturity and confidence through vulnerability are central to the album and shaped the album’s name.
“I really like that title because I felt like that’s what I kept asking myself, like, ‘Why would I hold back? Why wouldn’t I do the things that I feel like I really want to do?’ And I feel like all the answers were rooted in fear, like ‘Oh, they might not like it’ or ‘It might not work.’ I would rather just try things and be able to learn from them than not try and wonder what would have happened if. So, that kind of led to Why Not More? being the album name,” she shared on The Breakfast Club podcast
Letting go of her fears paid off, with the album topping the R&B Album Apple Music chart.
