BOYNEXTDOOR will return to the K-pop scene with their much-awaited fourth EP, No Genre, scheduled for release on May 13.

The group announced the new EP on April 14 via their official SNS accounts, generating buzz among fans with the promise of a genre-defying project. True to its name, No Genre aims to showcase the group’s musical versatility and fresh creative direction.

A promotional schedule was revealed following the announcement, detailing a packed rollout of teasers, concept films, track previews, and music video snippets. The lead-up to the release includes three distinct concept themes—No Matter, No Route, and No Limit—each accompanied by unique photos and short films that set the tone for the EP.

The EP’s track list was unveiled on April 21 and includes seven tracks:

  • “123-76”
  • “I Feel Good”
  • “Step By Step”
  • “Is That True?”
  • “Next Mistake”
  • “I Love You”
  • “I Feel Good (English Version)”

This diverse selection hints at a wide musical range that aligns with the EP’s title. The release will come in three standard versions—each including a CD, photobook, photocards, printed photo, portrait sticker, logo sticker, and a folded poster—catering to collectors and fans alike.

Distinctive Concept Films

Each concept film adds a unique layer to the No Genre identity. The No Matter version embraces youth, freedom, and individuality themes, showing the members living out of a makeshift mobile home and recounting the events of a wild party in search of a missing remote. It combines fast-paced editing with playful storytelling and a rebellious edge.

The No Route version takes a more introspective approach, portraying the boys drifting aimlessly before coming together and finding direction—a symbolic nod to unity and purpose.

Meanwhile, the No Limit version is full of wild, youthful energy as the members engage in a chaotic and daring spin-the-bottle game, culminating in an explosion of confetti and celebration.

A Compelling Comeback

With its bold visuals, genre-blurring concept, and engaging rollout, No Genre is shaping to be one of BOYNEXTDOOR’s most ambitious projects yet. Each version of the EP showcases a different facet of the group’s identity, their carefree spirit, introspective side, and untamed energy, proving that BOYNEXTDOOR isn’t afraid to push boundaries.

Pre-save and listen to BOYNEXTDOOR’s upcoming EP, No Genre, on May 13.
