Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco Announce Deluxe Version of I Said I Love You First
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco announced that the deluxe version of their first collaborative album will drop on Friday, May 2.
The deluxe version called I Said I Love You First… And You Said It Back was first revealed on social media by the couple. The post included a Polaroid photo of Gomez and Blanco and the cover art for the new release.
“The deluxe version of my album with @itsbennyblanco is called I Said I Love You First…And You Said It Back and it’s out this Friday, 5/2,” Gomez stated. “There are some new songs, some favorites you might recognize, and reimagined songs from the original album. Can’t wait for you to hear them!”
The post also included an additional announcement. The “Who Says” singer reminded fans to get ready for prom as the music video for “Talk” is being released on the night of May 1.
While the couple hasn’t given fans an official track list for the deluxe edition, they did announce that several artists will be featured on the new deluxe songs. GloRilla, Cigarettes After Sex, and DJ Sliink are all slated to be part of the project, as mentioned by Gomez on Instagram.
There are several collaborations on the original version of the album. They include “Call Me When You Break Up” with Gracie Abrams, “Ojos Tristes” with The Marías, “Bluest Flame” with Charli xcx, and “I Can’t Get Enough” with J Balvin and Tainy. After its release, the album debuted at the second spot on the Billboard 200.This isn’t the first time Blanco and Gomez have collaborated. The pair worked together in 2015 to produce “Same Old Love” and “Kill Em With Kindness” for Gomez’s album, Revival. The artists began their relationship in 2023 and kept it private for many months before announcing it to the public. They officially revealed their engagement in December of last year.
