Ginny and Georgia Season 3 New Trailer Is Here
Spoilers for Ginny and Georgia Season 2.
Everything is not so peachy over in Wellsbury, especially not for this mother-daughter duo. Netflix has released the official trailer for season 3 of the dramedy series Ginny and Georgia.
The Netflix series centers around the tumultuous relationship between emotionally troubled 16-year-old Ginny Miller (Antonia Georgia) and her emboldened young mother, Georgia Miller (Brianne Howey), as they move to Wellsbury, Massachusetts, with Ginny’s half-brother, Austin (Diesel La Torraca).
Along with the trailer, Netflix also shared a new poster for season 3, which features the mother-daughter duo. The two stare each other down with impassive expressions. On the bottom, you can see Georgia’s ankle monitor. The poster’s tagline reads “Everything is just peachy.”
Since the series debuted in February 2021, it has tracked the ups and downs of the mother and daughter, who are as different as night and day. At the end of season 2, the two had reached some degree of understanding of each other as Georgia married Paul Rudolph (Scott Porter).
However, all that came to a screeching stop when private investigator Gabirel Gordova (Alex Mallari Jr.) finally slapped the cuffs around Georgia for the murder of Cynthia Fuller’s (Sabrina Grdevich) husband.
“It wasn’t this cookie-cutter, copy-and-paste affair,” Ellen Baker (Jennifer Robertson) reminisces in the trailer. “It was very memorable.”
Season 3 will center around the scandalous trial, and all of Georgia’s secrets will finally come to light. Could a lifetime of trouble all be coming to a tipping point?
The upcoming trial will take its toll on everyone, especially Ginny, who is back to questioning whether her faith in her mom is misplaced. In the trailer, she argues with her father, Zion (Nathan Mitchell), about not having the whole story behind her mother’s motives.
But with Georgia’s doubters come her supporters. Her longtime friend Joe (Raymond Ablack) appears to be steadfast in her corner, fueling fans’ hope that he and Georgia will be the true endgame.
She’ll no doubt seek comfort in her friends Abby (Katie Douglas), Maxine “Max” Baker (Sara Waisglass), and even her ex-boyfriend, Max’s brother Marcus (Felix Mallard).
Series creator and executive producer Sara Lampert believes that season 3 of Ginny and Georgia will have “new hurdles, new relationships, and new challenges in a way we haven’t seen before on the show.”
There’s no telling how this trial will go or what the verdict will be. Considering that a season 4 Ginny and Georgia is already in the works, whatever is to come won’t bring complete closure for the people of Wellsbury.
Season 3 of Ginny and Georgia premieres June 5 on Netflix.
