Perfection Comes at a Price

Karol G, known for her 2023 album “Mañana Será Bonito, is now stepping into a deeper emotional territory. She reveals the woman behind the music documentary.

On the first night of her U.S. stadium tour, there was stunning visuals with a massive steel shark and multiple outfit changes. But behind the scenes, chaos brewed with videography fails and wardrobe malfunctions. Frustrated and emotional, she broke down. “Nothing seems right to me,” she stated.

She shared shared a moment that nearly made her quit music forever. At 16, she was sexually harassed by a manager. The experience was so traumatic that she fled to New York, choosing silence over suffering. She stated, “No woman who respects herself should endure harm to succeed,”.

During this time, she also reflected on her toxic past with reggaeton artist Anuel AA. She describes it as “a fucking nightmare.” Mentioning how the emotional toll made it hard for her even to enjoy her success. She then met a Colombian artist, Fied, and they bonded, building a close connection. Which inspired her to write a song called “Bichota“.”

The word “Bichota” once had a negative connotation, but Karol could flip the script. To her, a bichota is powerful, visionary, and in control. “Now people call me bichota,” she mentioned.

Karol’s Love for Selena

Karol’s love for Selena Quintanilla runs deep. She performed “Como La Flor” during her San Antonio tour stop and invited Selena’s sister Suzette onstage. “I’m really honored that you came,” Karol told Suzzette, trying not to cry.

Tomorrow Was Beautiful is more than a behind-the-scenes tour documentary. It’s a view into Karol G’s soul, telling of her tears, laughter, doubts, and triumphs.
