RIIZE has made a bold and energetic return with their first full-length studio album, Odyssey, released on May 19. Alongside the album, they unveiled the music video for the track “Fly Up.”

The album represents a major milestone in the group’s journey, blending high-energy sounds with deep emotional themes that reflect their growth and evolving musical identity.

Odyssey features ten tracks:

  • “Odyssey”
  • “Bag Bad Back”
  • “Ember to Solar”
  • “Fly Up”
  • “Show Me Love”
  • “Passage”
  • “Midnight Mirage”
  • “The End of the Day”
  • “Inside My Love”
  • “Another Life”

Together, these songs capture the themes of self-discovery, youth, and emotional connection—hallmarks of RIIZE’s signature “emotional pop” style.

Ahead of the album’s release, the group dropped the music video for “Bag Bad Back” on May 1. The video is visually striking and energetic, with quick cuts, dynamic choreography, and a rebellious edge.

The track blends emotional pop, trap, and hip-hop to deliver a powerful message of growth and resilience. The song captures the group’s evolution with lyrics about embracing hardship as a source of strength.

RIIZE Takes Off in ‘Fly Up’

The official music video for “Fly Up,” the album’s fourth track, was released on the same day as the album. The video, set in a school environment, including a library and the campus, radiates youthful energy and optimism.

The members don school uniforms—blue collared shirts, neckties, and khaki pants—as they dance through the school and city streets. The video’s choreography resembles a flash mob, with fellow students gradually joining the synchronized and technically impressive dance routine, creating a sense of unity and spontaneous celebration.

Sonically, “Fly Up” stands out with its upbeat, high-energy style, supported by a retro rock-inspired rhythm. The repeated choral refrain of “fly up” evokes the uplifting spirit of classical musical numbers, drawing comparisons to the feel-good soundtracks of films like High School Musical.

Lyrically, the track is a rousing anthem about overcoming obstacles and striving for personal growth. Lines like “Rise high, break down the walls / Together we become one,” and “Though different nations separate you and me / In this moment, our excited cheers become one music,” underscore themes of unity, ambition, and the power of collective dreams.

Odyssey in Motion

In Odyssey, RIIZE showcases their musical and performance growth and reaffirms their identity as artists committed to expressing emotion and storytelling through pop. The album’s title is fitting, as it’s not just a musical project, but a journey exploring deeper themes of introspection, love, and resilience.
