Check Out the Nominees for This Year’s MTV VMAs
Music’s biggest night, the MTV Video Music Awards, is just over a month away, and fans already have their devices in hand to vote for their favorite artists. The nominations are officially in. Here’s who made the cut.
Leading the charge is pop icon Lady Gaga with 12 nominations, followed by Bruno Mars with 12, and Kendrick Lamar stands as the third most-nominated artist with 11 nominations.
Rosé and Sabrina Carpenter are tied at 8 nominations each, while Ariana Grande and The Weeknd are tied at seven. Billie Eilish garnered 6 nominations, and the brat herself, Charli xcx has 5. Bad Bunny, Doechii, Ed Sheeran, Jelly Roll, Miley Cyrus, and Tate McRae all stand at 4 nominations.
This year, fans will also have two extra categories to vote for: Best Country Artist and Best Pop Artist.
The biggest title of the night, Video of the Year, is a battle between the following: “Brighter Days Ahead” (Ariana Grande), “Birds of a Feather” (Billie Eilish), “Not Like Us” (Kendrick Lamar), “Die With a Smile” (Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars), “Apt” (Rosé and Bruno Mars), “Manchild” (Sabrina Carpenter), “Timeless” (The Weeknd and Playboi Carti).
This year’s MTV VMAs air on Sunday, September 7 at 8:00 P.M. on MTV and CBS.
