Le Monde Gourmand Releases New Pomegranate-Inspired Fragrance in Collaboration With Cyrus Veyssi
Indulgent fragrance brand Le Monde Gourmand has released their latest fragrance, L’Essence Shirin Eau de Parfum, in collaboration with creator and comedian Cyrus Veyssi.
L’Essence Shirin is a floral musk that feels just as vibrant and multifaceted as its muse. Inspired by Veyssi’s Persian heritage and unapologetic self-expression, the fragrance opens with juicy pomegranate gem top notes, blooms into transparent jasmine, and settles into a warm amber musk finish. In the end, you’re left with a playful, radiant scent that celebrates individuality with every spritz.
While curating the fragrance, the creator went through several iterations before landing on the fruit-forward scent, with a little help from their mom, who ultimately helped make the final call. Veyssi explained to us during an intimate conversation in New York City that she advised them to keep the scent’s playful sweetness while toning down its overpowering sugary notes.
The minor tweak elevated the overall fragrance, resulting in something that feels like a more sophisticated version of our favorite childhood body spray. That youthful spirit is exactly what Veyssi wanted to capture, balancing nostalgic sweetness with a more polished, grown-up finish. The sentiment was immediately felt in the room, as the group of editors unanimously agreed it had all the makings of the perfect “first date” scent.
But it’s also perfect for scent layering.
