Solange Reflects On Her Latest Album’s Success
Solange is truly a master at perfecting her work.
Solange posted a few words on Instagram to celebrate the one-year anniversary of “A Seat At The Table.” After heavy anticipation and working on it from the year 2008, Solange felt it was time to release her work. This album went on to become a number one on the Billboard 200 and earned her a Grammy with her single, “Cranes in the Sky.”
She shared her gratitude for the success of this album as she stated: “if you would have told me then, I’d playing it live and sell out hollywood bowl, radio city, greek theatre and Kennedy Center, i wouldn’t have even been able to wrap my head around it.” This post came just after she kicked off her tour.
This album helped to empower women of color and to bring her fans into her world as a black woman going through struggles. We were able to see Solange in a humbling atmosphere, which we could all relate to in some way or another.
We are very thankful that Solange went on to release this project. We can not wait to see what will come in the future.
