‘Stranger Things’ Rocks the Louis Vuitton Runway
Which statement piece has the famous series made it’s mark on?
The Spring 2018 Louis Vuitton fashion show took place in The Palais Royal in Paris, France. Consisting of sneakers, tee-shirts, and trousers the new trend seems to be utilitarian comfort. The showstopper of the night, however, was the statement piece of a “Stranger Things” poster printed candidly on the front of a black short sleeved shirt. What makes this piece stand out even more is the underlay which details a flow worthy poet blouse decorated with various patterns. According to Vogue many of the models backstage were clamoring to snag and wear this piece which is rumored to sell out as soon as it hits shelves.
The designer, Nicolas Ghesquière, is obsessed with the television series and after meeting them gushed about a related design appearing on runway, ““I met the kids last season, and we had a very good time. And so we spoke and we thought it was very funny, maybe, to do a little citation of the series that is coming out soon in the show” he told Vogue journalist Nicole Phelps. I definitely want one! My name is Kelsey Comeaux, I’m currently a Senior at McNeese State University, majoring in Mass Communications with a concentration in New Media. I’ve always had an interest in creative media arts as well as music (four years private piano lessons) and slightly self taught acoustic guitarist ;) I remember making movies on my dad’s “Windows Movie Maker” growing up and showing them to my friends and family. Other than that, I love sports and am naturally a competitive spirit. I love to go running for fun, as weird as that sounds; it’s such a great release for me during stressful times. I also enjoy writing, short fiction is my expertise, as well as reading various novels mostly consisting of Science Fiction and Romance. Anything dealing with an adrenaline rush involving the outdoors I’m game for. I’m here to explore, love wildly, feel passionately, and have diligence deriving from the soul.
