Zac Efron Talks About Bear Encounter

Zac Efron was interviewed by “People” where he mentioned that he had recently encountered a grizzly bear.

The incident took place on the actor’s trip to Montana with his brother, Dylan. The brothers who grew up outdoors teamed up with Columbia Sportswear to be the company’s “gear testers.” They had just been to Glacier National Park as part of an ad campaign and they had plans to test the gear even more when the two decided to climb to the top of the Continental Divide.

They were on their trek when the bear started coming towards them, taking two big canters, probably coming as near as 15 to 20 feet away from the group.  Luckily, the bear eventually veered off back into the woods. Efron said it was the scariest part of the trip, but was still really cool to see a bear that close.

As the heartthrob is about to turn 30, he claims to be excited about the opportunities that he is getting through Columbia. He is thankful they are enabling him to see the world and do what he loves.
