Black Panther Releases New Trailer
After the long-awaited sophomore trailer, the Black Panther trailer fails to disappoint.
After his debut in “Captain America: Civil War,” many fans, especially of the African descent demographic, waited, albeit patiently, for the return of Chadwick Boseman to the big screen as everyone’s favorite crime-fighting jungle cat. As the names on the cast list grew, as did the excitement and anticipation of all those who saw and loved T’Challa in his film debut.
Also starring in the star-studded, Afrofuturist movie are Angela Bassett, Michael B. Jordan, Forest Whitaker, Lupita Nyong’o, Daniel Kaluuya, and much more familiar names to help bring the story of the fictional African nation and its people to life.
The overall response to the trailer is absolute excitement from just about everyone, the trailer gaining over 3.4 million views in the first twelve hours of its release on Marvel Entertainment’s official YouTube channel. The overwhelming success can be partly attributed to the studio taking on a different narrative and introducing a film with a predominantly Black cast with both strong female characters and an even stronger storyline to back it up.
The Wakandan adventure is set to be released February 16th, 2018, just in time for Black History Month, to the very delight of many of its fans.
