Is Serena Williams Planning a New Orleans Wedding?

The greatest tennis player of all time and brand new mother is ready to permanently be off the market.

Ever since her engagement to the Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian back in December of 2016, it seems like Serena Williams has been in a whirlwind fairy tale.

From winning the Australian Open without dropping a set, and beating her older sister Venus in the final while eight weeks pregnant no less, to finally having her baby girl on September 1st of this year, it seems that the professional tennis player wants to completely settle down and tie the knot before making her comeback to the professional tennis circuit in January of next year to defend her title.

It’s rumored that the happy couple is planning for their wedding to be in the late fall, most likely to ensure that Williams can properly plan for her professional return to the game.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Williams and her fiancé have been seen recently meeting with a wedding planner and discussing menu options at Emeril Lagasse’s restaurant Meril in the Warehouse District of New Orleans. The ceremony will no doubt be a beautiful affair and we are excited to see what comes next for the world’s greatest tennis player.

Is it too much to ask for Serena Williams to extend an invite our way?
