Riverdale’s K.J. Apa Speaks on His Car Accident
He takes full responsibility for the incident.
This past September, K.J. Apa was involved in a car accident. He was driving a one hour home trip from a long day of shooting and in that incident, he fell asleep behind the wheel. His car struck a light pole and destroyed the passenger side of the vehicle. He is now speaking on the issue with Esquire and he acknowledges the fault he played. “I should have pulled over and gone to sleep instead of battling my way home. But I learned from it.” Apa stated. This was definitely a wake-up call for actors working long hours.
Apa was fortunately uninjured in this crash and able to walk away with a life lesson. “It puts things in perspective for actors on other shows; when you’re driving home, you’ve got to be mindful and make sure your mind’s right and that you’re not tired,” Apa stated for Esquire. We are happy to see K.J. safe and able to learn from this experience.
