Gigi Hadid Slams Islamophobe on Twitter
Hate has no place on her timeline.
Following the recent terrorist attack New York, celebrities chared their dearest concerns and hope for victims. However, there were some who choose to focus on the negative matters.
Gigi Hadid called out of one the few who choose to promote bigotry on her timeline. Laura Loomer, a right-wing activist, tweeted after the attack responding to Muslim women who continued to wear their hijabs. “Muslims are out in full force at the scene of the NYC #ISISattack today rubbing it in everyone’s face. Aimlessly walking around in hijabs.” Loomer stated. This did not sit well with Hadid.

Hadid is of Palestinian descent and has worn a hijab on the cover Vogue Arabia. Her father, sister, and boyfriend are also Muslims. It is understandable to see Hadid’s reaction as it is a direct insult to herself and her people. With the tensions high with the amount of violence happening lately, Hadid uses her platform to combat hateful rhetoric. We love seeing celebrities take a stand against bigotry and hate.
