J.K. Rowling Shuts Down Meghan Markle’s Haters
Unless you live under a rock, you have probably heard about the Royal Wedding taking place next spring between Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle.
This wedding is a big deal for the Royal Family, as Markle is not only American but also bi-racial. And while many people have offered their congratulations to the happy couple, a few people are trolling the actress and her fiancé because of her race and also her past marriage.
The actress was married to producer Trevor Engelson after seven years of dating, but divorced two years into the marriage.
Meghan Markle is unsuitable as Prince Harry’s wife for the same reason that Wallis Simpson was unsuitable: she’s divorced and Harry’s grandmother is supreme governor of the CofE

Thankfully we have our favorite British author to speak her mind whenever she feels necessary. The tweeter said that Meghan’s divorce made her “unsuitable” for the marriage, which Rowling had a clear problem with. Her simple hashtag shut down the tweet pretty quick, as she reminded the troll that divorce does not make anyone less of a decent human being and or less worthy of a role/ title.
It is also worth noting that the Queen of England also gave her blessing to allow the two to marry in the Church of England, showing that she has no problem with Markle’s past marriage.

With Rowling and the Queen getting this whole situation under control, hopefully the haters have been shut up for good!
