Serena Williams + Her Daughter Grace the Cover of Vogue

Vogue Magazine

The tennis legend continues to rock our world with her amazing success and this recent stunning cover on Vogue.

Serena and her 3-month-old daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. are on the cover of the February issue of Vogue. Williams expressed her excitement on Instagram and how this particular cover brought her to tears.

In the article, Serena explains how grateful she is to have a daughter because she can teach her that there are “no limits.” Williams also talked about breaking the record in Grand Slams, which she needs two more in order to surpass that record as she currently has 23 and needs 25.

She explained, “I absolutely want more Grand Slams. I’m well aware of the record books, unfortunately. It’s not a secret that I have my sights on 25. And actually, I think having a baby might help. When I’m too anxious I lose matches, and I feel like a lot of anxiety disappeared when Olympia was born.”

Serena has recently withdrawn from the upcoming Australian Open and will not be defending her title in which she won while pregnant with her daughter. However, she refuses to allow that to be a mental set back.

“I’ve been playing tennis since my memories started,” the 36-year-old tennis superstar said. “At my age, I see the finish line. And when you see the finish line, you don’t slow down. You speed up.”

By the looks of it, Serena will continue her mission to breaking the record before she retires. Let’s hope that Serena will make her comeback in the French Open in May.
