Michael B Jordan to Star in HBO Film Fahrenheit 451
The novel by Ray Bradbury is being adapted for television.
In a new release by HBO Films, Ray Bradbury’s famous Fahrenheit 451 back to life.
The film illustrates a society determined to remove the “chaos” brought upon by the world through books, memoirs, news, and the Internet. The removal of all books leads to a dangerous and haunting society that is designed to harbor equality from the burning of the world’s past.
The film features Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan as a fireman whose job it is to destroy books, sometimes with a flamethrower, and will feature Michael Shannon as his captain and mentor, Beatty. This is a role that controls the spread of information by sending everything up in flames, literally.
Director and co-writer Ramin Bahrani has promised that it will remain “true to Bradbury’s original themes” while revamping the original book from 1953.
The sci-fi dystopian film will air May 2018 on HBO.
