Before her visit to St. Thomas’ Hospital, the Duchess traveled to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. While there, she learned about its global health programs, which aim to reduce newborn and maternal death rates across the globe.
Afterward, at St. Thomas’ Hospital, she visited the Snow Leopard Ward in the children’s section and met several patients. She even joked to a father of a patient that her husband, William, is in denial that their third child is about to arrive.
With Nursing Now, Middleton hopes to enable nurses to have a larger part in health policy decision-making.
