Jimmy Kimmel Apologizes to LGBTQ Community for Controversial Tweets
A Twitter feud between Jimmy Kimmel and talk show host Seann Hannity ended up getting out of hand.
It started when Kimmel poked fun at Melania Trump’s accent in a skit. Hannity then slammed Kimmel during his Fox News show, calling him a “despicable disgrace” and an “ass clown.”
Kimmel responded by saying, “If I’m an ass clown, you are the whole ass circus,” on his show.
The two continued their petty feud on Twitter.

However, some of Kimmel’s tweets caught backlash. On Sunday, The Daily Beast published an op-ed stating that some of Kimmel’s comments, such as his references to Hannity’s devotion to Trump, were homophobic.
The host then issued an apology on Twitter the same day.

Hannity plans to respond to Kimmel’s apology on his next show Monday night at 9 p.m.
