The soulful songstress, Dua Lipa, took to Instagram to celebrate the success of her newest hit single “One Kiss,” produced by Calvin Harris.
Not only did she share that the head-bopping jam is already at number one on the charts, but also that it is the fastest selling single of 2018 thus far.
Dua emerged on the scene in 2015 when she released her first single, “New Love,” and has quickly risen to fame. Her 2017 girl power hit “New Rules” garnered quite a bit of attention, but for good reason. The singer has since doubled as a beacon of female empowerment, so if you didn’t already love her for her sultry voice, you should love the fact that she’s a strong woman who supports other strong women.
As a music icon, a style icon, and a feminist icon, Dua is absolutely killing the game, and it seems as though she can only go up from here. If one thing is for sure, it’s that this talented, independent gal belongs on your playlist, and in your heart.
