Ali Wong’s Second Netflix Special Is Coming Soon
Fresh Off the Boat writer Ali Wong is back with her second Netflix original stand-up special.
Her first special, Baby Cobra, premiered on Netflix in 2016, in which she appeared extremely pregnant. On May 13th, you can catch her back on stage with another huge pregnancy bump in her second Netflix original special, Hard Knock Wife.
In Baby Cobra, Wong takes a light-hearted and painfully honest approach to describing her twenties, marriage, and pregnancy. She is raunchy and absolutely shameless when it comes to her body and her sex life, and to an extent that most female comedians typically aren’t, despite how commonplace it is for male comedians to be so explicit.
Early on in the act, she points out that it is also very rare for female comedians to perform pregnant, and notes that many of them seem to disappear from the scene after they have children. That was not the case with Wong since special #2 was shot with baby #2 very visibly on the way.
